My kids and visited the springs here in Central Florida earlier this Summer. As we were floating happily along the tube run what do we see but this happy, watchful Great Blue Heron, stock still among the flowers with his neck stick straight hoping we didn't see him... we did! He was no more than 4 ft. from us and we just whispered to him how pretty he was and how happy we were to see him.. and kept floating by... that sight stuck with me and I just HAD to paint him 💓
