Saturday...

I am not a morning person. Every morning, if I get up before my sweet husband, I groggley head straight to the coffee maker to get my fix started. I do this with as little lights on as possible! It's true! Even now, as I sit with my coffee, the only lights on are in my bedroom where John is getting dressed for the day and in the playroom where my very loud children are plotting to save the world as Ninja Turtles.

As I sit here I'm thinking back over my week. I always think of Saturday as the last and Sundays as the first days of my week. So, with this in mind, I review.

3 weeks ago I entered Saturn Elementary School where I am painting a Fruitful Tree in the front office through a grant from the Brevard Cultural Alliance. It is turning out so beautifully! I know I've said it before, but I am so proud to be a part of a community that supports local art and artists 💛 We are incorporating the 5th and 6th grade classes into this project. Last week I got to be in the classroom! The art teacher and I worked in tandom. Introducing the concept of sybolism in art, artistic representation and how they will be converting the big ideas they have regarding their future down into a simple symbol. We will then have them paint that symbol on to a 2" x 2" canvas that will later take and glue it into the Fruitful Tree Mural!!

These are some of the photos of the progress made so far... I have been posting little video tours of the progress on my Instagram page.  I know some of you on my mailing list do not subscribe to social media, but you can still see what I post here, through my site, by clicking on the Instagram Tab! It won't take you away from my site or ask you to subscribe and you can see everything I post to Instagram!

I am looking forward to a great year! It's already taking off to a great start!!
